On Monday, 16 March 2026, NITRO was at the 1st Student Cybersecurity Conference of the Cybersecurity Club of the University of Macedonia. The event offered an excellent opportunity to engage with students who are actively interested in cybersecurity and to showcase project results focused on education, practical training, and the development of modern skills in the field.

The presentation introduced the objectives and ongoing work of the two projects, with particular emphasis on their role in strengthening cybersecurity capacity through innovative educational approaches. A particularly valuable part of the event was the opportunity for students to test in practice the challenges of the NITRO gamification platform and experiment with interactive scenarios that bring learning closer to real-world application. 

The conference also brought together distinguished speakers from academia, institutions and industry, contributing to a meaningful and multidimensional dialogue on current cybersecurity challenges. In this context, the event further demonstrated the importance of collaboration between universities, public authorities, industry stakeholders and European initiatives in shaping a stronger cybersecurity culture and skills ecosystem.

NITRO continues to support the advancement of cybersecurity education by promoting innovative training environments, interactive learning methods, and stronger engagement with student communities. Participation in events such as this one is essential for dissemination, outreach, and the continuous improvement of project results through direct interaction with end users and the wider academic community.
