During his presentation at the panel entitled&nbsp;<strong>\u201cCybersecurity in Healthcare,\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;Prof. Xenakis discussed the advantages of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector. He highlighted that AI can enable faster and more accurate clinical decision-making and diagnoses, provide reliable prognoses, reduce operational costs, and support personalized treatments and therapies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, he emphasized that the adoption of AI introduces significant cybersecurity challenges, including concerns related to system transparency, accountability, and the availability of documentation explaining algorithmic decision-making. Importantly, Prof. Xenakis stressed that technological safeguards alone are insufficient without strong user awareness. He underlined the critical role of informed and trained users\u2014such as healthcare professionals and system administrators\u2014in mitigating cyber risks, ensuring the secure and ethical use of AI systems, recognizing potential threats, and responding effectively to security incidents.
