From 25 to 27 April 2026, the NITRO project was represented at A&R Expo 2026, one of Greece’s leading exhibitions dedicated to automation, robotics, and advanced technological innovation. Hosted at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens, the exhibition brought together major industry players, technology providers, researchers, and professionals from across the automation and robotics ecosystem. The event attracted thousands of visitors overall, while more than 100 participants and professionals visited the NITRO booth, creating an important opportunity for networking, knowledge exchange, and discussions around cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and digital resilience.
A&R Expo serves as a major reference point for the wider automation and robotics sector in Greece, aiming to showcase cutting-edge technologies, innovative services, and advanced solutions across multiple domains, including industrial automation, Industry 4.0, IoT, smart technologies, maritime systems, medical and educational robotics, energy systems, and intelligent infrastructures. In parallel with the exhibition, several educational seminars, workshops, and conference sessions were organised, offering attendees the opportunity to explore the latest developments and trends shaping the future of technological innovation.
Representatives from the University of Piraeus Research Center (UPRC) and Hellenic CyberSecurity Institute (HCSI), partners of the NITRO consortium, attended the exhibition on behalf of the project and engaged with visitors from academia, industry, and the wider cybersecurity and technology ecosystem. Discussions focused on the importance of cyber resilience in increasingly interconnected digital and operational environments, as well as the growing need for realistic cybersecurity training platforms and preparedness capabilities for modern infrastructures.
NITRO’s participation at A&R Expo further highlighted the project’s role within the European cybersecurity landscape. As a Digital Europe initiative focused on the development of an interconnected 5G-IoT cyber range for training, experimentation, and secure operations, NITRO contributes to strengthening practical cybersecurity skills, fostering collaboration across sectors, and supporting the development of resilient digital infrastructures. Participation in events such as A&R Expo is particularly valuable for dissemination and stakeholder engagement, enabling the consortium to exchange expertise with professionals from the automation, robotics, and cybersecurity sectors while promoting the project’s objectives to a broader audience.
