NITRO Project to Co-Organize IWAPS 2025 at ARES Conference
The NITRO Project will serve, for the second time in a row, as a co-organizer of the 5th International Workshop on Advances on Privacy-Preserving Technologies and Solutions (IWAPS 2025), which will take place during the ARES 2025 Conference in Ghent, Belgium, from August 11 to 14, 2025.
IWAPS is an annual workshop that brings together researchers and practitioners working on the design and implementation of secure and privacy-respecting AI and cybersecurity technologies. This year’s edition will focus on challenges related to trust, resilience, and compliance in AI-driven systems, particularly in light of evolving European regulatory frameworks.
NITRO actively contributes to advancing AI-driven cybersecurity by promoting research in AI attack detection, adversarial defense mechanisms, and privacy-preserving AI architectures. As a co-organizer of IWAPS 2025, NITRO fosters interdisciplinary discussions on emerging challenges in AI security, such as cascading vulnerabilities in interconnected systems, the interplay of AI and IoT in cybersecurity, and strategies for securing critical infrastructures against advanced threats.
